Panchakarma

Ayurveda considers GIT (Mahasrota/Koshta as the most important organ in the body and it is an organ complex. The division is Koshta and Koshtanga.The organ complex governs the whole metabolism in living body(Shareera).The vamana, virchana and vasthi process have the capacity to drive the disease causative pathogens to the GIT and eliminates through mouth or anal aperture.

Vamana

Cleanse the upper part of GIT(Stomach and esophagus) subsequently the upper part of the body mainly chest cavity

virechana

Cleanse the lower part of GIT(Small intestine, Large intestine) subsequently the organs in abdomen and pelvis

Vasti (Niruhavasti, Snehavasti)

Vasthi is the evacuant enema, administered through anal aperture. This is one of the most important treatment procedure which has got the capacity to stimulate the entire nervous system via plexus(Shad chakra) and myenteric plexus.

Nasya

The site of drug administration is through nostrils and this stimulates the nerve endings at nasal tract which extend to Bain

Rakthamosha

It is a minor surgical procedure. Bloodletting is extravasation of blood from stagnant blood pool with an aid of sharp sterile needle or leech under strict sterile condition in selected patients
